Jet Aviation Geneva successfully completes refurbishment of Boeing BBJ2 and Gulfstream IV aircraft

Jet Aviation Geneva recently completed refurbishment projects on a Boeing BBJ2 and Gulfstream GIV aircraft at its Geneva maintenance facility.The refurbishments included the integration of new soft materials and wooden marquetry. The GIV aircraft was further enhanced by an avionics upgrade, cabin system retrofit and new exterior paint scheme.

Jet Aviation recently delivered a Boeing BBJ2 and Gulfstream GIV which were refurbished at the company’s Geneva maintenance facility. The overhaul on the two aircraft included the installation of new interior soft materials, state-of-the-art wood finish and marquetry. For these projects, Jet Aviation’s engineering and production team were supported by highly qualified designers and partners. This resulted in the design and integration of custom-made furniture on the aircraft, providing comfortable and fine interiors that met the clients’ high expectations.

The BBJ2, which arrived at Jet Aviation Geneva for a SFAR 88 modification, received an interior upgrade during that alteration. Panels and seats on the aircraft were fully refurbished, the tables were recovered with wooden marquetry and the floors were covered with new wool carpet. The aircraft’s master bedroom area was additionally modified to integrate a new contemporary design.

The GIV aircraft received a new stylish and elegant cabin interior using soft materials and wooden marquetry. In addition, the aircraft was enhanced with a complete overhaul of its avionics, cabin management control, communication systems, cockpit systems and a new exterior paint scheme.

“When scheduling their maintenance services, clients more and more approach us for refurbishment services also. Within the past few years we have expanded our service capabilities to include refurbishment and are glad that we are able to satisfy our customer’s refurbishment requests,” says David Baehler, managing director of the maintenance and refurbishment operation at Jet Aviation Geneva. “Our focus is on efficiency, especially when the refit is to be combined with a heavy maintenance program,” he adds.
